On December 18, 2017, the Law of Ukraine “On Environmental Impact Assessment” came into force (dated 23.05.17 №2059-VIII)
Environmental Impact Assessment is a clear accountability process that complies with European best regulation principles.
The law implements the obligations laid down in the Association Agreement with the EU, in particular Directive 2011/92 on the assessment of the effects of individual public and private projects on the environment, as well as the relevant relevant provisions of Directive 2003/4 on access to environmental information.
